Rafael Amaya on "Glamour" Latin America

by EAStaff | May 16, 2011

Rafael Amaya is featured in this month’s issue of Glamour Latin America. In an exclusive interview for the magazine’s film section, the talented Mexican actor speaks candidly to Sandra Mateu about his work, life, favorite things, the film role that earned him the prestigious “Diosa de Plata” and his future.  Amaya’s career has skyrocketed globally with starring roles in Telemundo’s “La Reina del Sur”—the highest rated novela in the network’s history— in Spain’s hit series “Hospital Central” and in the hilarious comedy series “Doctor Mateo”.  He was recently named one of People en Español’s 50 Most Beautiful Hispanic Celebrities and successfully hosted the 2011 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

In the conversational interview featuring stunning photos by Omar Cruz, Amaya reveals his sentimental side when speaking on the price of success:  “I miss my family, even though they’re used to the rhythm of my life.  Nowadays, with all the technological advances and social media, t’s easier to maintain long-distance relationships.  But it makes me sad not being able to spend time with them whenever I want.”
