Tour of Musical Production "El Chavo" Coming to the U.S.

Televisa Consumer Products, in collaboration with Tycoon Gou Productions and under the direction of Roberto Gómez Bolaños, present the U.S. premiere of the sensational musical "El Chavo". The tour commences April 20th and runs through May 20th in various cities across the U.S.

Undeniably, El Chavo is one of the most famous and recognized TV shows within the Hispanic community through many generations. Its creator and protagonist, Roberto Gómez Bolaños, is an icon in the entertainment industry in Latin America.
The characters participating in the musical are the same characters that have given life to this TV series for over forty years: El Chavo, Quico, La Popis, Ñoño, El Sr. Barriga, Doña Clotilde, Don Ramón, Doña Florinda and Professor Jirafeles and the villains Rufino Malacara and his [dumb] assistant.
The world premiere of the musical took place in the Teatro Broadway de Buenos Aires July 3, 2010. Since then, it has had notable success leading up to an international tour throughout various cities in Mexico, Panama, Peru, El Salvador, Honduras, and Costa Rica.
