Grammy-winning top-selling Latin urban music duo Wisin Y Yandel and international moviestar and recording artist Jennifer Lopez will perform their hit single "Follow The Leader" live on the American Idol season finale this Wednesday, May 23 at 8PM (EST). This is the first time the megastars will join forces on national television to deliver what is sure to be a mind blowing performance of the sexy bilingual Urban Dance track. American Idol's season finale which airs on the Fox Network is predicted to attract approximately 29.5 million viewers.
"Follow the Leader" was written by Wisin Y Yandel, Jennifer Lopez and the Bloodline Sisters and produced by Jonas Saeed & Niclas Kings. It was recorded in Los Angeles and Puerto Rico. The single debuted on iTunes Latin’s Top 5 and is topping radio station playlists throughout the country. It has also reached the top ten on iTunes sales in 17 countries in Latin America, and reached #1 airplay position in six countries in Latin America. The video world premiered via the first ever bilingual Twitter campaign, which included the participation of major celebrities including Ryan Seacrest, Enrique Iglesias and Ellen DeGeneres. In less than two weeks, "Follow The Leader" has generated over 11.3 million views on VEVO and YouTube combined.
Wisin Y Yandel are also preparing to embark on their next North American tour, this time alongside Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez beginning July 14, 2012. The tour produced by AEG Live, will make stops in more than 20 cities throughout the US and Canada.
