Two-time Grammy nominated band Locos Por Juana, premieres their new video for "Revolution Ska (La Música)" today exclusively on VEVO. This is the second single from their fifth studio album titled 'Somos De La Calle' which is due out next Tuesday the 25th.
The well-known 'masters of mash-up of Latin-Reggae-Hip-Hop' created a very contemporary sound with this single by fusing Ska with Merengue, which resulted in the avant-garde and progressive fusion of these two genres.
"For us, music is not just an expression of joy, it is also a way of expressing positive messages...we are peaceful and artistic revolutionaries. This is what our new song is about. It's a song not only for you to dance to, but also to scream the lyrics and understand the message," stated Mark Kondrat, guitarist of Locos Por Juana.
The video was shot in Miami and directed by Amaya Mendizabal, who makes her directorial debut. She has previously worked on other videos with artists such as: Beatriz Luengo, Romeo Santos, Camila, Reik and Kany Garcia. The locations of the video shoot for "Revolution Ska (La Música)" took place at The Stage, The Armory Studios and Kukaramakara in Miami. The video was sponsored by Tequila El Capo.
"We have great expectations that everyone who sees the video and listens to the song will absolutely love it. We relish in surprising our fans with our music and also in having an album in which each song is unique. With "Revolution Ska (La Música)" you can see another style and rhythm very different from our first single "Afro Sound" feat. Palenke Soultribe," affirmed Itagui Correa, vocalist of Locos Por Juana.
