Meet the Cast of Telemundo’s New Biopic Series “Hasta Que Te Conocí”

The much anticipated biopic series “Hasta Que Te Conocí,” based on the life of musical icon, Juan Gabriel, comes to the TELEMUNDO screen after the record rating success in Mexico and Latin America. This incredible production follows the steps of Alberto Aguilera Valadéz throughout his dream to fame; in an autobiographical journey from his birth based on unpublished testimonials that tell, as never seen before, the life of Mexico’s musical legend, Juan Gabriel, also known as “El Divo de Juarez.” For the first time ever, viewers will discover the man behind the music and the human aspect of the music star who conquered the hearts of audiences from around the world.

For the production of “Hasta Que Te Conocí,” six actors played Juan Gabriel throughout the four phases of the series, in addition to featuring renowned actress Dolores Heredia, who brings to life Victoria Aguilera, Juan Gabriel’s mother, alongside an amazing cast.

Below is the cast of “Hasta Que Te Conocí”:

  • Dolores Heredia plays Victoria Aguilera Valadez, a poor girl from a small town who refuses to settle for a marriage of convenience and will sacrifice anything to be with her one true love: Gabriel Aguilera. But life’s difficulties become too much for this happy, determined dreamer, to the point that she abandons her youngest son, Alberto, in the hope of giving him a better life. Little does she know that her decision will lead him on a constant search to find and reinvent himself as Juan Gabriel, the most famous and beloved singer songwriter in the Spanish-speaking world.
  • Julián Roman plays Juan Gabriel during his 20s and 40s, in the stage of life when he starts living from his own music by becoming a popular singer around the world; not suffering from hunger; he starts gaining recognition in the music industry by opening doors but also facing the dark side of fame.
  • Carlos Yorvick plays Juan Gabriel from 17 to 20 years old, in this adolescence phase where Alberto faces poverty, having a tough life and working hard to become a popular singer.
  • Alejandro Flores plays Juan Gabriel from 13 to 16 years old. Known for many U.S. Hispanic TV viewers as Frijolito, the famous child from TELEMUNDO’s telenovela “Amor Mío,” Alejandro brings to life the teenage years of Alberto when new opportunities appear to the young singer taking his first and most difficult decisions for the rest of his life.
  • Matias del Castillo plays Juan Gabriel from 7 to 12 years old. Growing up in his enclosure, Alberto forges an identity and is willing to defend it by taking refuge in music.
  • Ricardo Zertuche plays Juan Gabriel from 4 to 6 years old. An unexpected turn in his life, takes Alberto to a world of loneliness.
  • Nohek Yoali plays Juan Gabriel from 2 to 4 years old. Since an early age, Alberto felt denied and abandoned by his own family.
  • Pablo Azar plays Gabriel (young Juan Gabriel’s father). A young man who conquers Victoria with his great personality and whose goal is to make her happy for the rest of her life.
  • Claudia Pineda plays Victoria (young Juan Gabriel’s mother), a humble young woman with strong features, beautiful body and a determined personality who searches for her own happiness.
  • Mauro Mauad plays Gabriel (adult), a romantic and pleasant man who works hard to meet his goals in life but becomes mentally ill.
  • Gabriela Roel plays Brígida, Victoria’s selfless mother. Widowed long ago, she works as a maid in María Romero’s household.
  • Michel Chauvet plays Manuel Alvarado, a young man from a wealthy family who falls in love with Victoria, who asked Victoria’s mother to marry her daughter but the young woman turned him down in order to be with Gabriel.
  • Maria Rojo plays Maribel, a simple-minded elderly woman with a kind heart. Poor and lonely, she rescues young Alberto from the streets, treating him like the son she never had.
  • Ernesto Gómez Cruz plays Juanito, a metalworking instructor who was a violinist in the days before the Mexican Revolution. He becomes Alberto’s mentor, in life as well as music.
  • Marco Treviño plays Eduardo Magallanes, a famous musician and head of RCA Records. The singer’s personal friend and confidant, he has always had faith in Juan Gabriel’s talent, never judges him, and is committed to helping him advance his career.
  • Gustavo Sánchez Parra plays Oscar, a hardworking and responsible man and a newcomer to the border region. He sets his sights on Victoria and promises to help her turn her life around.
  • Julio Bracho plays General Puentes, director of Palacio Negro de Lecumberri Prison, where Juan Gabriel is briefly an inmate. A military man of few words, used to issuing orders with no explanation, he invites Juan Gabriel to his home after the young man’s release.
  • Mónica Dionne plays Maria de Jesus Meana, María Romero’s sister, although the two aren’t close. A principled woman with traditional values, she upholds good manners and accepted custom and is committed to her main role in life: keeping house for her beloved husband, Rafael.
  • Verónica Langer plays Micaela, Director of the Court and friend of the Meana family and who takes an interest in Albertito’s case.
  • Annete Michel plays Doña Ofelia, wife of General Puente who is responsible for the freedom of Alberto from prison and considers him as a member of her family.
  • Isabel Burr plays Veronica Castro, the popular actress, singer and host from Mexico, who invited Juan Gabriel as a guest of her live show that made history in Mexican television.
  • Alejandro Calva plays Enrique Okamura, director of RCA records in Mexico who discovered in Alberto an exceptional talent and works hard to give him the opportunity.
  • Tenoch Huerta plays Nereo, personal assistant of Mexican icon Lola Beltran, who becomes best friends with Alberto when he arrives to Mexico City in search of his dream. Nereo teaches him about the industry and how to be more secure.
  • Luz Ramos plays Meche, a woman who works at a popular night club called Noa Noa who sympathizes with young Alberto’s bad luck and introduced him to bars from Ciudad Juárez.
  • Yolanda Suárez plays Odalys, a dark and exotic woman with a cheerful personality who became best friends with Alberto.

“Hasta Que Te Conocí,” premiering this fall on TELEMUNDO, is produced by Somos Productions and Juan Gabriel, distributed by Disney Media Distribution Latin America, and filmed in Mexico by BTF production house.
