COASTCITY debuts highly anticipated and vibrant video for second single "Desconocidos" (Strangers) today. The song has been incredibly well received by industry tastemakers and fans alike. The week of release it was featured across a multitude of online media and added on several playlists across digital platforms increasing the duo's listeners by +40k within that same week.
The video was directed by Daniel Mendoza (Retronomad Productions) and shot in multiple locations throughout Miami including Coconut Grove, Downtown, Little Haiti, Hialeah, and Pinecrest. "Desconocidos" is a story about strangers who serendipitously cross paths throughout the day only to arrive at the same destination in the end.
"Because the song is comparable to a feeling of ecstasy, we wanted to emulate a world where you can time travel through magical doors transporting you into different locations and scenarios. In that world, I keep running into this stranger who keeps captivating me. In the end, the journey takes us to a house party where we had some of our best childhood friends who we came up with in the music industry in order to create a real organic party vibe," explains Jean Rodríguez.
Cameos in the video were made by Erik Michaels who co-wrote "Desconocidos"and was also from the successful boy band O-Town, as well as Stevie from the group TAKE 5 and award-winning producer Dakari (NSYNC, Prince Royce, N.O.R.E.).
"We are really happy with the end result for this video. We have a beautiful, colorful, vibrant, and trippy love-story we are stoked to share with our fans and colleagues," adds Danny Flores.
