Intocable 2011 Nabs Grammy Nomination

by EAStaff | December 2, 2011

The iconic group INTOCABLE celebrates today a nomination in the Best Banda or Norteño Album category on the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards for their album INTOCABLE 2011. This is indeed a very meaningful nomination for the previously highly nominated group after having made the decision to leave their established label to start Good I Music on their own accord.

“We could not be happier after receiving the news that we’re nominated.  This album was done with a lot of love specifically for the fans.  When people doubted us and said we were making a mistake by leaving behind the established machine, we took the risk.  And this is validation that what matters most is good music.” Said Ricky Muñoz, vocal lead of the of the group.

With this nomination, the group wraps up a magnificent year of great achievements including winning early on the GRAMMY Award for their previous album “Classic”, 2 wins in the Billboard Mexican Music Awards, a historic halftime performance at the Dallas Cowboys biggest game against the Washington Redskins, a special recognition from the City of Los Angeles, and a nomination and grand performance at the 2011 Latin GRAMMY Awards celebrated this past November in Las Vegas.

This coming Sunday, the elusive group will appear in Telemundo’s show “Pa’lante con Cristina” where they’ll perform 2 of their hits from INTOCABLE 2011 and delve a bit into their personal lives in an unforgettable interview.

And next week, on Thursday, December 8th, INTOCABLE is giving back to the community by taking the stage at the Blue Santa Toy Drive in San Antonio, TX.

The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards will air on CBS February 12th, 2012 at 8pm ET/PT.
