Over the weekend, international superstar Miguelito joined other incredible performers in Chile for their 33rd annual telethon. The 27 hour televised charity event is one of the largest of its kind in the world. Hosted by Don Francisco, the face of Sabado Gigante, he encourages his fellow Chilean's to unite in giving to those less fortunate during this 2-day event.

Miguelito was invited by the legendary television personality to participate in the children's segment of the show, which historically has brought in the highest ratings and donations over the past 33 years. Miguelito took to the stage in the Telethon Theatre with a troupe of dancers to perform two of his hits, "Miguelito Invita" and "Maquinando". The crowd of over 600 in the theatre went wild, and viewer ratings quickly spiked. Following his performance, Miguelito took some time to visit with some of the children that represent the cause behind the famous telethon. Children in need of physical and mental rehabilitation due to diseases, birth defects, or tragic events. Although being only 12 years old himself, Miguelito recognized the importance of helping others at an early age, and saw this as an opportunity to use the platform that fame has given him to in turn give back to those less fortunate.

"It was a honor to be invited to participate in such an important event with such a great cause. To see first hand, a country and it's people united in such a way that Chile did over those 2 days is inspiring and makes me proud to know I was able to contribute in my own way." commented Miguelito.

Thanks to the many generous contributions from citizens throughout the country, and various companies and corporations, the Telethon was able to reach its goal and even go above and beyond what was expected. The following day, Don Francisco held a luncheon for the artists who participated and lent their time to the cause, among those in attendance were Miguelito, Juanes, Prince Royce, Alexis y Fido, Sie7e, and many more.
