Watch the Killer First Six Minutes of “Wednesday” Season 2
Our favorite goth sleuth is back sharper, snarkier, and deadlier than ever. To cap off Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event, the Addams family themselves — Jenna Ortega, Luis Guzmán, Joanna Lumley, Fred Armisen, and Isaac Ordonez — took the stage to reveal the killer first six minutes of Wednesday Season 2. And it’s everything fans hoped for: twisted, thrilling, and darkly hilarious.
While other teens are flipping burgers or lounging at beach resorts, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) is chasing serial killers — specifically, the Kansas City Scalper, a cold case that’s haunted her since childhood. In a disturbing (and very on-brand) flashback, a 6-year-old Wednesday presents the Scalper’s crimes to her classmates with morbid flair, traumatizing half the room.
Cut to the present, and things are very Wednesday: she’s tied up in a creepy basement, surrounded by a disturbing collection of handmade dolls — one of which looks exactly like her. Welcome to Season 2.
The premiere episode opens with a harrowing airport sequence in which Wednesday and trusty sidekick Thing (Victor Dorobantu) try to sneak their unconventional arsenal past security. Knives? Mace? Nunchucks? Totally fine. But sunscreen over 3.4 ounces? That’s where the line is drawn. Classic TSA.
Once they land in Kansas City, Wednesday follows a lead to Chet, a greasy pet groomer with serial killer vibes played by none other than Haley Joel Osment. When she tries to tase him, his touch triggers one of her signature psychic visions — but this one ends in black tears streaming down her face. Whatever’s going on with her powers, it’s getting darker.
The tone is instantly familiar — a perfectly macabre blend of gothic horror, razor-sharp wit, and stylized action. Jenna Ortega is fully locked into the role, delivering every line with deadpan brilliance. With upgraded stakes and a creepier mystery at play, Season 2 is wasting no time getting to the good stuff.
And as a cherry on top, Lady Gaga has officially joined the cast as Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Nevermore teacher whose past is as mysterious as her arrival.
Watch the first six minutes now, and start counting the days until Wednesday returns. Season 2 premieres in two parts, with Part 1 arriving on August 6, followed by Part 2 on September 3, exclusively on Netflix.
