Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for The Running Man, director Edgar Wright’s high-octane reimagining of the Stephen King novel, starring Glen Powell as a desperate man thrust into a deadly game show.

Set in a dystopian future where a hit reality series forces contestants to survive 30 days while being hunted by assassins, The Running Man follows Ben Richards (Powell), who enters the game to save his sick daughter. As he becomes an unlikely fan favorite, he threatens to topple the entire system.

The film also stars Josh Brolin, Colman Domingo, Emilia Jones, William H. Macy, and Lee Pace, and was co-written by Wright and Michael Bacall. Unlike the 1987 Schwarzenegger version, this adaptation stays closer to King’s original novel.

The Running Man hits theaters November 7, 2025.
