Disney electrified Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con with an all-star panel for its highly anticipated sci-fi epic “TRON: Ares.” Moderated by filmmaker Kevin Smith, the panel welcomed stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, Gillian Anderson, and Jeff Bridges, along with director Joachim Rønning and franchise creator/producer Steven Lisberger.

Fans were treated to a pulse-pounding light cycle chase scene, an extended first look at the Dillinger Grid—a stunning new digital realm—and the exclusive premiere of the “As Alive as You Need Me to Be” music video by Nine Inch Nails, the first single from the film’s original soundtrack.

“TRON: Ares” follows Ares, a highly advanced Program sent from the digital world into reality, triggering humanity’s first contact with artificial intelligence. The film is directed by Joachim Rønning and stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, with Gillian Anderson and Jeff Bridges.

Attendees received an exclusive SDCC “TRON: Ares” poster following the panel.
