“Wednesday” Season 2 Trailer: Black Tears, Deadly Visions and Gothic Mayhem

by EAStaff | July 9, 2025

The official trailer for Wednesday Season 2, Part 1 has arrived — and it’s full of black tears, deadly visions, and even more gothic mayhem.

Premiering August 6, 2025, on Netflix, the next chapter of the hit series finds Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams returning to Nevermore Academy, where a new supernatural threat looms. After a chilling vision reveals her best friend Enid (Emma Myers) is doomed to die — and that she may be the cause — Wednesday must unravel a dangerous mystery before it’s too late.

Fans will notice her powers have evolved (and glitched). She’s now shedding inky black tears with every psychic episode, and even Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) seems alarmed. “I know what those tears mean,” she warns.

Season 2 also introduces a new principal (Steve Buscemi as Barry Dort), new students like Agnes DeMille (Evie Templeton), and the arrival of Grandmama Hester Frump (Joanna Lumley), who adds a fresh dose of Addams family chaos. Pugsley (Isaac Ordonez) even joins Wednesday at school — much to her horror.

And in a bizarre twist, Wednesday’s newfound popularity might be the most disturbing development of all.

Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, with Tim Burton returning as director and executive producer, Wednesday Season 2 will be released in two parts: Part 1 on August 6 and Part 2 on September 3.

The Addams may thrive on misery — but fans will be thrilled.
