Amazon MGM Studios has unveiled the official trailer for Sarah’s Oil, the highly anticipated drama based on the extraordinary true story of Sarah Rector.

Set in early 1900s Oklahoma Indian Territory, Sarah’s Oil follows Sarah, a young African American girl who believes there is oil beneath the barren land she’s been allotted—only to be proven right. As wealth and power attract dangerous attention, Sarah must rely on her courage, community, and a few bold Texas wildcatters to protect her land and legacy. By age eleven, she defies the odds to become one of America’s first African American female millionaires.

Starring Zachary Levi (Shazam!, The Unbreakable Boy), Sonequa Martin-Green (Star Trek: Discovery, Space Jam: A New Legacy), rising star Naya Desir-Johnson (The Equalizer, A Thousand and One), and Mel Rodriguez (Little Miss Sunshine, CSI: Vegas), the film promises a gripping and inspiring cinematic experience.

Sarah’s Oil opens exclusively in theaters on November 7.
