Gwendoline Christie will reprise her role as fan-favorite Principal Larissa Weems in Wednesday Season 2, Part 2 — but with a supernatural twist. This time, she returns as Wednesday Addams’s newly appointed spirit guide, reuniting the pair in all their sharp-tongued glory.

Christie’s surprise return was revealed during a special appearance at the Doom Tour press conference in Sydney, Australia, alongside Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Director/EP Tim Burton, and series creators Al Gough and Miles Millar.

Fans last saw Weems meeting a tragic end in Season 1 after being poisoned by Marilyn Thornhill (Christina Ricci). But in the official Part 2 trailer, she materializes once again — flawless wardrobe intact — greeting Wednesday with a sly “Surprise!” No zombie shuffle here; Weems is as poised as ever, just slightly more… ethereal.

When Part 2 begins, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) is recovering from the Season 2, Part 1 finale cliffhanger that left her in a coma. With her powers glitching, Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) still on the prowl, and Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) stirring up campus drama, Wednesday may begrudgingly need guidance — even if it comes from her once-loathed principal.
