Lady Gaga Reveals ‘The Dead Dance’ Release Date for ‘Wednesday’ Season 2

by EAStaff | August 29, 2025

Last night in New York City, Netflix and Spotify buried The Doom Tour with a bang (or should we say, a death rattle) at a full-on Wednesday Season 2 “Graveyard Gala.” The guest list? 300 lucky fans, influencers, and press — including Spotify’s top Gaga and Wednesday listeners — all invited to step into the afterlife at Guastavino’s.

The evening’s biggest surprise? Lady Gaga herself.

Gaga joined Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, and Joy Sunday to announce her brand-new single “The Dead Dance” — dropping September 3 and featured in Wednesday Season 2, Part 2. In true spooky fashion, guests didn’t just get to hear a snippet; they had to climb into bespoke coffins for an exclusive first listen.

“I loved working with Tim Burton and Jenna, even just being a small part of the show,” Gaga told the crowd. “The Dead Dance is coming September 3. I hope you’re comfortable in your caskets, because I can’t wait to see you do the Dead Dance.”

Gaga also confirmed what fans learned at Netflix Tudum 2025: she will appear in Season 2 as Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Nevermore teacher whose path collides with Wednesday Addams.

Between the live coffin listening sessions, the surprise Gaga appearance, and the deliciously eerie theme, the Graveyard Gala proved the perfect resting place for The Doom Tour — and the perfect resurrection for what’s next.

Mark your calendars: Wednesday Season 2, Part 2 and “The Dead Dance” rises on September 3.
