‘Stranger Things’ Season 5 Trailer Teases the Beginning of the End
“Nothing in Hawkins is normal anymore.” Netflix has unleashed the official trailer for Stranger Things 5, setting the stage for the final showdown that’s been nearly a decade in the making. The beloved phenomenon returns this fall with its fifth and final season, split across three release dates — Volume 1 on November 26, Volume 2 on Christmas Day, and the finale on New Year’s Eve, all dropping at 5 p.m. PT.
In the explosive new trailer, the Hawkins crew reunites for one last mission as Vecna’s darkness spreads beyond the Upside Down. With the town under military quarantine and Eleven forced back into hiding, the stakes have never been higher. As the anniversary of Will Byers’ disappearance looms, a chilling sense of déjà vu takes hold — and the fight to end this nightmare begins.
Set in the fall of 1987, Stranger Things 5 finds Hawkins still scarred by the rifts opened at the end of Season 4. The gang — led by Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Will (Noah Schnapp), and Max (Sadie Sink) — must track down Vecna, whose whereabouts remain unknown. But the enemy has evolved, and this time, the full party will need to stand together to survive. The returning ensemble includes Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Jamie Campbell Bower, Cara Buono, and newcomer Linda Hamilton.
Created by The Duffer Brothers and produced by Upside Down Pictures and 21 Laps Entertainment, the cultural juggernaut has captivated fans since its debut in 2016, redefining nostalgia and streaming success. From “Running Up That Hill” topping charts to sold-out immersive experiences worldwide, Stranger Things remains a pop-culture touchstone. Now, as the story of Hawkins nears its end, the countdown begins to one last journey into the Upside Down.
Stranger Things 5 premieres November 26, only on Netflix.
