Danny Trejo Hits Pluto TV’s “Holidays Are Brutal” Rage Room

Pluto TV brought its nationwide “The Holidays Are Brutal” campaign to Los Angeles with a free, immersive rage room experience that let fans blow off steam and trade holiday stress for pure, cinematic catharsis. On December 11, guests packed The Rage Ground in downtown LA, smashing ornaments, drop-kicking wrapping-paper disasters, and “decking” the halls in a way only an action movie could inspire.

Actor and producer Danny Trejo joined fans inside the holiday-themed rage room, leaning fully into the high-octane spirit of Pluto TV’s Holidays Are Brutal collection. The activation pulled its energy straight from action favorites like Charlie’s Angels, Rush Hour, and The Expendables, encouraging participants to unleash their inner action star rather than endure another sugar-coated seasonal tradition.

Trejo captured the mood perfectly, saying, “The holidays can be brutal; Pluto TV gets it. Some people like to relax with a massage or sitting in front of a cozy fireplace, and some people need to break stuff in a free rage room or kick back watching some badass action movies starring me on their TV. There’s really no wrong way to celebrate.”

The Los Angeles stop was part of a larger, multi-city rollout that transformed rage rooms across the country into festive, smash-friendly escapes. Fans were able to experience the activation in New York, Dallas–Fort Worth, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Raleigh-Durham, and Phoenix, turning holiday frustration into a shared, adrenaline-fueled release.

Alongside the pop-up experience, Pluto TV is offering viewers an alternative to traditional holiday programming with a lineup built on non-stop fights, explosive stunts, and larger-than-life thrills. The Holidays Are Brutal collection invites fans to escape into worlds filled with big-screen brawls and cinematic chaos, featuring titles such as The Terminator, Transformers, Gladiator, The Mask of Zorro, Gangs of New York, The Mummy franchise, The Rock, Blade films, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, all streaming free.

By swapping cozy sentimentality for action-packed mayhem, Pluto TV is embracing every kind of holiday meltdown and proving that sometimes the best way to celebrate the season is to smash a few things—or watch someone else do it on screen.
