Ryan Gosling Blasts Into Space in Final ‘Project Hail Mary’ Trailer
The countdown to liftoff has officially begun. Amazon MGM Studios has debuted the electrifying final trailer for Project Hail Mary, the highly anticipated sci-fi epic starring Ryan Gosling and directed by Academy Award® winners Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The film opens exclusively in theaters and IMAX on March 20, 2026 — and IMAX 70mm tickets are already on sale.
Based on the New York Times best-selling novel by Andy Weir, with a screenplay by Drew Goddard, the story follows science teacher Ryland Grace (Gosling), who wakes up alone aboard a spacecraft light-years from Earth with no memory of who he is — or how he got there. As fragments of his memory return, he discovers a terrifying truth: the sun is dying, and he may be humanity’s last hope.
What unfolds is a gripping, brainy survival story filled with scientific problem-solving, emotional stakes, and an unexpected friendship that could change everything. The final trailer teases awe-inspiring visuals, humor, and heart — hallmarks of Lord and Miller’s storytelling — while delivering the kind of large-scale spectacle built for IMAX 70mm.
The stellar ensemble cast includes Sandra Hüller, Lionel Boyce, Ken Leung, Milana Vayntrub, Priya Kansara, and James Ortiz.
Fans eager to experience the mission early can catch exclusive IMAX® 70mm screenings March 13–15. Prime members also receive special early access screenings on March 16 at 7 p.m. local time — four days ahead of the nationwide release. All early screenings will be presented in premium large formats including IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and 70mm, delivering a fully immersive cinematic journey.
Tickets for Prime early screenings go on sale February 20 via Fandango, where members can log in with their Amazon account for verification.
With extinction-level stakes, dazzling visuals, and Gosling anchoring the film with both intellect and vulnerability, Project Hail Mary is shaping up to be one of 2026’s most talked-about theatrical events.
Only in theaters & IMAX March 20, 2026.
