‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Stars Tease New Killers and Surprising Connections
With two dangerous killers on the loose in New York City, Dexter: Resurrection is raising the stakes for its second season. As Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) navigates new threats and a midlife crisis, the detectives investigating the city's most notorious criminals face challenges of their own.
Ahead of the October 30 premiere on Paramount+, Kadia Saraf and Dominic Fumusa sat down with Dulce Osuna to discuss what's ahead for Detectives Claudette Wallace and Melvin Oliva, their evolving partnership, and some intriguing connections to Dexter himself.
For Saraf, Wallace's biggest frustration this season is simple: "Having everything right in front of me and not being able to solve it."
Fumusa explained that the detectives are juggling two very different threats. The New York Ripper is a longtime target whose case has shaped Wallace's career, while the emerging Five Borough Killer presents an entirely new challenge.

"The technology of the world comes into play. The fast pace of New York City comes into play," Fumusa explained, describing a relentless investigation that keeps the detectives working around the clock.
But one of the most intriguing revelations came when Osuna asked whether Wallace might finally be the detective capable of seeing through Dexter Morgan.
"Sees through him or works like him," Saraf teased, hinting at an unexpected connection between the two characters.
"There is going to be some intersection. Very interesting intersection," she added, pointing to their "matching brains" as something viewers should watch closely.
Beyond the investigations, Season 2 will also reveal a more personal side of Wallace and Oliva's partnership.

Fumusa praised the writing for incorporating moments of humor and genuine connection between the detectives, explaining that Oliva understands Wallace better than anyone.
"There's a lot of that in season two," he shared. "You get to see a personal touch between the two of them," including moments when they recognize how their different skills complement each other.
The conversation also took a playful turn when Osuna asked who would be better at keeping a real-life secret. Saraf confidently chose her character, while Fumusa admitted, "Definitely not me. I'm not good at keeping secrets."
Asked to describe the new season in just three words, Saraf went with "fast and furious," joking that she wasn't pitching another franchise. Fumusa, meanwhile, leaned into the show's exploration of middle age and new challenges.

And for fans hoping to uncover the mysteries before Dexter does, both actors had some advice.
"The blood drops, the blood spatter," Saraf teased.
Fumusa added that the writers are always working to stay one step ahead of audiences, carefully planting clues throughout the story. "You got to pay close attention," he warned.
With dangerous new adversaries, unexpected connections, and a detective duo determined to piece everything together, Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 promises plenty of twists for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 premieres Friday, October 30, exclusively on Paramount+ Premium.
