Five decades of Menudomania are coming back to the stage.

Menudo is celebrating its 50-year legacy with the Menudo 50th Anniversary Tour, an official reunion bringing together seven former members from different eras of the legendary Puerto Rican group for a run of shows across the United States, Mexico and Puerto Rico.

The reunion features René Farrait, Roy Rosselló, Raymond Acevedo, Sergio “Blass” González, Ralphy Rodríguez, Rubén Gómez and Robert Avellanet, representing Menudo lineups spanning from the late 1970s through the early 1990s.

While former members have reunited in different configurations over the years, the anniversary tour is being billed as the first official reunion tour presented under the Menudo brand featuring members from multiple generations of the group.

Fans can expect a nostalgia-filled celebration featuring some of Menudo’s most recognizable songs, including “Súbete a Mi Moto,” “Claridad” and “Quiero Ser,” while revisiting the music and memories that turned the Puerto Rican group into an international pop phenomenon.

The tour kicks off October 10 at YouTube Theater in Los Angeles before traveling to Chicago, New York, Mexico City and Hollywood, Florida. Appropriately, the anniversary celebration will come home to Puerto Rico for its final announced date, December 12 at Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan.

Formed in Puerto Rico in 1977, Menudo became a global phenomenon and one of the most influential groups in Latin pop. With its signature rotating-member concept, the group introduced generations of performers to audiences around the world, released nearly 30 albums in multiple languages and fueled the international phenomenon known as “Menudomania.”

Now, nearly 50 years after it all began, seven former members are coming together under the Menudo name to celebrate the songs, memories and cultural impact that made the group a defining part of Latin pop history.
