Street Fighter is taking its latest trailer beyond the usual watch-and-share experience.

Paramount Pictures and Legendary Entertainment have released a new trailer for the upcoming live-action adaptation, along with what they’re calling the first full-length movie trailer made playable through YouTube Playables.

Dubbed the Street Fighter Combo Challenge, the interactive experience lets fans fight their way through the trailer as they watch, bringing a video game-inspired twist to the film’s latest preview.

The launch coincided with the kickoff of the movie’s global World Warrior Tour in Tokyo on September 1. The trailer debuted across the Shinjuku Yunika Vision screens, where stars Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, Callina Liang and Jason Momoa were joined by Hirooki Goto, director Kitao Sakurai and Street Fighter game director Takayuki Nakayama.

Set in 1993, the film follows estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) as they are pulled back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament. But behind the competition lies a deadly conspiracy that forces the pair to confront each other and the demons of their past.

Directed by Sakurai, Street Fighter features a massive ensemble that includes David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Roman Reigns as Akuma, 50 Cent as Balrog and Jason Momoa as Blanka, alongside several other familiar characters from the Capcom franchise.

The new footage delivers plenty of martial arts action, colorful characters and signature moves, including the franchise’s iconic Hadouken. But perhaps the cleverest nod to the property’s arcade roots is turning the trailer itself into a game.
