Nicolas Cage is stepping into the shadows as Spider-Noir, and the new trailer gives fans their first major look at the gritty, stylish live-action series headed to Prime Video this May.

Produced by Sony Pictures Television for MGM+ and Prime Video, Spider-Noir is based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir and stars Nicolas Cage in his first leading television role. He plays Ben Reilly, a down-on-his-luck private investigator in 1930s New York who has left behind his past as the superhero known as “The Spider.” But when an extraordinary case comes his way after a deeply personal tragedy, he’s pulled back into a dangerous world of crime, mystery, and masked justice.

The series will debut domestically on MGM+’s linear channel on May 25, 2026, before launching globally on Prime Video on May 27, 2026, in more than 240 countries and territories. All eight episodes will be available to binge, with Prime Video serving as the exclusive streaming home.

Adding to the noir experience, viewers will be able to watch the series in two different visual styles: “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color,” offering two distinct ways to experience the story.

The cast also includes Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson, Li Jun Li as Cat Hardy, Karen Rodriguez as Janet, alongside Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson, with additional guest stars throughout the season.

While Nicolas Cage previously voiced Spider-Man Noir in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, this series exists in a stand-alone universe and is not a spin-off or continuation of any Sony or Marvel films.

Spider-Noir premieres May 25 on MGM+’s linear channel and launches globally May 27 on Prime Video.
