TWELVE LATIN BILLBOARD NOMINATIONS

Prince Royce is among the top artists nominated for the 2012 Latin Billboard Awards, as announced yesterday on Telemundo Network.

The twenty-two year old singer-songwriter is a finalist in twelve (12) 2012 Latin Billboard Award categories: Artist of the Year; Composer of the Year - Geoffrey "Prince Royce" Rojas; Song of the Year - "Corazón Sin Cara"; Album of the Year - "Prince Royce"; Digital Album of the Year - "Prince Royce"; Airplay Song of the Year - "Corazón Sin Cara"; Male Artist of the Year, Songs; Male Artist of the Year, Album; Tropical Song of the Year "Corazón Sin Cara"; Tropical Solo Artist of the Year, Songs; Tropical Album of the Year - "Prince Royce"; and Tropical Albums Solo Artist of the Year.

"I am very grateful and feel so blessed that my debut album continues be part of these important nominations.  As always, I owe it to my amazing fans; my record label Top Stop Music and my work team; as well as radio, media and retail, who have solidly supported me from the start," expressed the singer-songwriter from Argentina where he is on promotional tour.  On Sunday, Royce performed at the Viña del Mar Music Festival and he returns to Chile this Saturday for a concert at the Movistar Arena in Santiago.

Royce's phenomenal success is unprecedented in the Latin music industry. The young artist who debuted with his self-titled album in March of 2010, closed 2011 having garnered eleven #1s on Billboard's Year End Charts, including: #1 Latin Album of the Year; #1 Hot Latin Song of the Year (for "Corazón Sin Cara"), #1 Top Latin Artist - Male; and #1 Hot Latin Songwriter of the Year.

With his debut album, he has been certified triple platinum in the US and Puerto Rico and double platinum in Chile; and has received four 2011 Latin Billboard Awards; three 2011 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards; four 2012 Premio Lo Nuestro; four 2011 Premios Juventud Awards and two Latin GRAMMY nominations (2010 & 2011). Just this week Royce was also awarded three prestigious awards at the Viña del Mar Music Festival - the Silver Seagull, Gold Torch and Silver Torch.

The worldwide release of Royce's second bachata album, "Phase II", is set for April 10th. "Las Cosas Pequeñas", the first single off the album, is already a radio hit in the US and Puerto Rico, having debuted at #1 on the tropical songs charts and # 3 on the Latin songs charts (across all genres).

The 2012 Billboard Latin Music Awards will be broadcast live on the Telemundo Network from the BankUnited Center in Miami, Florida.
