HBO Max Brings ‘Lanterns,’ ‘House of the Dragon,’ and More to Comic-Con

HBO Max is heading to San Diego Comic-Con 2026 with an impressive lineup of immersive fan experiences, exclusive panels, and a special advance screening celebrating three of its most anticipated series: Lanterns, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, and House of the Dragon.
Running throughout Comic-Con weekend, attendees will have the chance to step inside interactive activations inspired by Lanterns and Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, while House of the Dragon fans can attend an advance screening of Season 3, Episode 6.
Stuart Fails to Save the Universe Takes Over Comic-Con
Launching Thursday, July 23, HBO Max will transform Sparks Gallery into "The Comic Center of Pasadena," bringing Stuart Bloom's comic shop from The Big Bang Theory universe to life. Fans will journey through a multiverse-inspired experience featuring interactive story moments, themed photo opportunities, exclusive merchandise, and personalized collectibles.
The series will also receive a Hall H panel on Thursday, July 23 (2:15–3:15 p.m.), featuring creators Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn, and Bill Prady alongside stars Kevin Sussman, Lauren Lapkus, John Ross Bowie, and Brian Posehn. Fans attending the panel will also enjoy an exclusive advance screening of the new Max Original comedy.

Lanterns Invites Fans to Join the Green Lantern Corps
Beginning July 23, fans can test their courage at the "Lanterns Training Headquarters," an immersive activation inspired by the upcoming DC Studios series. Participants will complete interactive challenges, solve mysteries, and earn their own Green Lantern ring before exploring exclusive merchandise and interactive photo opportunities.
The highly anticipated series will headline Hall H on Friday, July 24 (1:30–2:30 p.m.), with stars Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre joined by Garret Dillahunt, Poorna Jagannathan, and co-creators Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King. The presentation promises exclusive footage and behind-the-scenes insights ahead of the show's August debut.
House of the Dragon Returns to Westeros
Fans of House of the Dragon can close out Saturday night with an advance screening of Season 3, Episode 6 on July 25 at the San Diego Convention Center. The event will include an introduction from co-creator and showrunner Ryan Condal before attendees get an early look at the latest chapter in HBO's acclaimed fantasy drama.
With blockbuster panels, exclusive first looks, and immersive activations spanning the entire weekend, HBO Max is once again positioning itself as one of the biggest destinations at San Diego Comic-Con 2026.
