by EAStaff | December 13, 2012

After an amazing year in his career, Tego Calderón premiered his new video yesterday for the single "Like We (Ay Dios Mio)" featuring Kafu Banton.

Tego Calderón, a leader in the Latin Urban movement, culminates 2012 with the premiere of his fourth video from the mixtape 'The Original Gallo del País - O.G. El Mixtape'.

This mixtape has become a marvel since its launch this past summer.  Several singles with corresponding videos were released, reaching a staggering amount of views on his official VEVO channel.  The mixtape has been hailed by critics and fans alike and was also nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Urban Album.

"Like We (Ay Dios Mio)" is one of the collaborations on this mixtape featuring Kafu Banton from Panama, currently one of the most respected urban artists and for Tego, Kafu is one of the best. "Lyrically there are very few I respect and two of them are Panamanian, Ruben Blades and Kafu Banton", affirms Tego Calderón.

The video is in line with Tego's creative concept to display the gentle side of people from the different places he has visited, which has influenced his new songs and albums.  The "Like We (Ay Dios Mio)" video was filmed in the streets of Panama City, in the neighborhood El Chorrillo and in Paradise Studios, under the direction of Angel Alexis Bousquet and production of Santiago Benet.

The video is dedicated to two Latin American boxing icons, Puerto Rican Hector 'El Macho Camacho', who died a few weeks ago in San Juan (Puerto Rico) and to Panamanian legend Roberto 'Mano de Piedra' Duran.

His upcoming album, "El Que Sabe Sabe" (He Who Knows Knows), is due out in March of 2013 through his own label Jiggiri Records.
