Prince Royce Releases His New Album "Soy El Mismo" On October 8th
Soy El Mismo, the highly anticipated new album by singer-songwriter Prince Royce premieres worldwide on Tuesday, October 8. With eleven original tracks (8 in Spanish, 3 in English), most co-written and produced by Royce, the album promises to be even more successful than his first two multi-platinum productions.
"For 'Soy El Mismo' I returned to New York to record with the same team I worked with on my first album. I used the violins and cellos that are part of my bachata from the beginning but now I added other instruments that have not traditionally been used in the genre, such as the saxophone, harmonica, flugelhorn, trumpet and harp. All the sounds on the album were recorded live. I devoted a lot of time and effort to this production and I can't wait to share the new songs with all the fans," said the young artist who has achieved phenomenal success since his debut four years ago.
Royce's latest hit is the album's first single "Darte Un Beso" which is currently the #1 song in the country according to Billboard's "Hot Latin Songs" chart. The song which debuted on radio only six weeks ago, is also #1 on Billboard's "Latin Airplay" chart, #1 on Billboard's "Tropical Airplay" chart for four weeks in a row, and has spent the last three weeks as the #1 streaming Latin song in the country. "Darte Un Beso's" official video premiered a week ago and has already received more than 4.5 million views on VEVO. Its lyric video, released a month ago, has accumulated more than 7.2 million views on VEVO.
"The great reception given to 'Darte Un Beso' has been awesome and I am extremely grateful to my fans and my radio team who have supported me from the beginning," said Royce.
