‘Latin American Music Awards’ 2018 Highlights

by Jessica G. Ferrer | October 29, 2018

Hosted by five successful females in the entertainment industry, Roselyn Sanchez, Leslie Grace, Becky G., Gloria Trevi, and Araceli Arámbula celebrated music and the strength of being a woman. The Latin American Music Awards 2018 was another successful show in its fourth run. The performances were strong and rich. Gloria Trevi used the platform to tell her story of abuse and dedicated her new single, Ellas Soy Yo to survivors and those still living through abuse.

Roselyn Sanchez reiterated throughout the night the power of being a woman and celebrated la mujer with compliments for her fellow colleagues. Her co-hosts Becky G. and Leslie Grace took the stage with their song Díganle and were joined by the all-male group CNCO. An eventful moment for both the fans and the artists.

Daddy Yankee received the Icon Award and shared his advice on reaching success.

He also won Artista Masculino Favorito and honored the strength of women who survived and are battling breast cancer with his single, Yo Contra Ti, shining light on an issue so many of us know too well.

The topics and conversation were full of heart and of course, Latin flavor, making the 2018 Latin American Music Awards’ theme one to remember.
