The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences presented “An Evening with Game of Thrones” at the TCL Theatre in Hollywood, CA on March 19, 2013 to a sold out audience. The panel featured cast members Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), along with Creators / Executive Producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and Co-Executive Producer George R.R. Martin. The panel was moderated by Rob McElhenney, star and creator of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and avid fan of “Game of Thrones.”

Academy members and their guests enjoyed a behind-the-scenes look inside HBO’s Emmy® award-winning fantasy series including an outlook into the story lines and character development leading into the Season 3 premiere on Sunday, March 31 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT).  Rob McElhenney asked the panel some hypothetical questions (submitted via Twitter) including what characters the cast might like to play other than their own and who they would each like to see eventually sitting on the throne. The panel had riveting opinions but it was George R.R. Martin who gave real insight and teased the audience by saying, “There will be a few people sitting on it (the throne) before the end.”
