Common & Alexandria Riley Explore a Fractured Sims Family in ‘Silo’ Season 3

by EAStaff | July 3, 2026

Based on Hugh Howey's bestselling trilogy, Silo has become one of television's most acclaimed science fiction dramas, blending mystery, political intrigue, and deeply human storytelling. Set inside a massive underground bunker housing the last 10,000 survivors of humanity, the series follows a society built on hidden truths, strict rules, and the dangerous consequences of questioning the world around them.

As season three expands the show's mythology by exploring both the aftermath of the rebellion and the origins of the silo itself, Robert and Camille Sims find themselves facing their greatest challenge yet.

During a conversation with Entertainment Affair's Raffael Alejandro, Common and Alexandria Riley discussed the evolving relationship between the powerful couple, the impossible choices awaiting their characters, and how the collapse of trust affects both their family and the future of the silo.

For Common, season three finds Robert questioning everything he once believed after the revelations that rocked the silo at the end of season two. Having devoted himself to Judicial and the system he helped uphold, Robert must now redefine his purpose while navigating growing uncertainty in both his leadership and his marriage.

Riley explained that Camille's journey also takes a dramatic turn. Long accustomed to working behind the scenes to protect her family, she is now forced into a much more visible leadership role. As she carries the weight of difficult decisions affecting thousands of lives, viewers will see a more vulnerable side of Camille as the pressure begins to mount.

Although Robert and Camille still deeply care for one another, both actors emphasized that shifting loyalties and conflicting beliefs create emotional distance between them, making their relationship one of the season's most compelling storylines.

Off camera, however, the experience couldn't be more different. Common and Riley shared that their friendship and mutual respect helped build the trust needed to portray such an emotionally complex couple. They often rehearsed together outside of production and balanced the show's darker moments with plenty of laughter between takes.

As Silo continues to unravel the mysteries surrounding its underground world, season three promises to challenge its characters like never before, while bringing audiences one step closer to discovering the truth behind the silo itself.

Season 3 of Silo is now streaming on Apple TV, with new episodes premiering every Friday through September 4.
