Peacock’s Friday the 13th Prequel ‘Crystal Lake’ Gets Chilling First Look

by EAStaff | July 13, 2026

Peacock has unveiled the first official look at Crystal Lake, the upcoming Friday the 13th prequel series from A24, offering fans their first glimpse of Linda Cardellini as the iconic Pamela Voorhees. The highly anticipated eight-episode drama premieres October 15, with all episodes streaming exclusively on Peacock.

Set nearly a year after the tragic drowning of young Jason Voorhees, Crystal Lake follows single mother Pam Voorhees as she struggles to cope with unimaginable grief. When two strangers arrive in town seeking answers about her past, a disturbing chain of events begins to unravel, leaving the residents of Crystal Lake questioning who Pam Voorhees really is.

Created, written, and executive produced by Brad Caleb Kane (It: Welcome to Derry, Tokyo Vice, Warrior), the series also stars William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins, and Gwendolyn Sundstrom, with Callum Vinson portraying young Jason Voorhees in a recurring role.

Rather than simply revisiting familiar territory, Crystal Lake promises to expand the mythology of the legendary horror franchise by exploring the emotional tragedy and mystery that shaped one of horror's most infamous characters. The newly released first-look images and teaser lean into the franchise's eerie atmosphere while hinting at a more character-driven story before the terror of Camp Crystal Lake truly begins.

Crystal Lake premieres October 15, 2026, exclusively on Peacock.
