Halloween Horror Nights Completes Its Sinister 2026 Line-Up

by EAStaff | August 18, 2026

Halloween Horror Nights is ready to unleash another season of screams at Universal Studios Hollywood, and the complete 2026 lineup has officially been revealed.

Beginning Thursday, September 3 and running select nights through Sunday, November 1, the popular Halloween event will transform the theme park with eight haunted houses, the return of the Terror Tram, multiple scare zones, live entertainment and plenty of familiar horror faces lurking in the fog.

Leading the latest reveals is “Terror Tram starring Art the Clown,” which puts the Terrifier icon in charge of one of Halloween Horror Nights’ signature experiences. Art arrives on the historic Universal backlot with a blood-soaked bag of presents, only to discover he’s a little early for Christmas. Naturally, that doesn’t stop him from hijacking the Terror Tram and creating his own twisted holiday celebration.

Metal band Ice Nine Kills is creating new music for the experience, putting a sinister spin on classic Christmas songs. And escaping the backlot may not mean escaping Art, as the killer clown will also lurk in unexpected locations throughout the park.

Also returning is fan-favorite “Killer Klowns from Outer Space,” bringing guests back into the colorful and deadly world of the cult 1988 horror comedy, complete with murderous alien clowns and those infamous cotton candy cocoons.

KILLceañera Brings Latin American Horror to HHN

One of this year’s most intriguing original creations is “KILLceañera: Music by SLASH,” continuing Halloween Horror Nights’ tradition of showcasing Latin American myths and legends.

The house centers on Lola, who turns her quinceañera into a deadly celebration after summoning vengeful ghosts and malevolent spirits to exact revenge on everyone who wronged her. Along the way, guests will encounter creatures inspired by Latin American folklore.

Grammy-winning guitarist SLASH provides an original score for the house featuring Spanish guitar and an exclusive song titled “15 Candles.”

The other original haunted house, “Dead, Deader, Deadest,” takes guests inside the abandoned Deville Family Funeral Home, where a supposed miracle drug designed to restore the appearance of the deceased goes horribly wrong and sends a century’s worth of corpses rising from their graves.

Sinners, Stranger Things and More Join the Horror

Those additions round out a seriously stacked collection of previously announced haunted houses.

“Sinners” brings the vampire-filled world of the acclaimed film to life in 1930s Mississippi, while “Stranger Things 5” sends guests back into the Upside Down for one final adventure featuring Demogorgons, the Mind Flayer and Vecna.

“Hellraiser” draws inspiration from the original trilogy and unleashes Pinhead and the Cenobites, while “Evil Dead Burn” reopens the Book of the Dead for another encounter with bloodthirsty Deadites. Rounding out the lineup is “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness,” a music-fueled nightmare inspired by the legacy and imagery of the legendary rock star.

The Scares Spill Into the Streets

The horror won’t be contained to the houses.

This year’s scare zones and street experiences include “FORTNITEMARES,” inspired by Fortnite’s annual horror-themed event; the chainsaw-wielding maniacs of “Hackerz”; “Blood Bog”; “Shriek of the Banshee”; and the returning “Murder of Crowz.” Guests exiting KILLceañera will also step directly into “El Circo de la Muerte,” a sinister take on the circus and sideshow acts that traveled across Mexico during the 1930s.

Fans should also keep an eye out for Freaky Nikki from Focus Features’ Obsession, who will make special nightly appearances throughout the park.

Meanwhile, “The Purge: Dangerous Waters” returns to the WaterWorld venue with its fiery stunt spectacular, bringing the lawless world of The Purge back to life.

A New Way to Go Behind the Screams

For the first time at Universal Studios Hollywood, fans will also be able to see what Halloween Horror Nights looks like with the lights on.

The new “Unmasking the Horror Tour Add-On” is a guided daytime experience offering a behind-the-scenes look at the craftsmanship and creative process behind “Sinners” and “KILLceañera: Music by SLASH.” The walkthrough will also allow guests to take photos within select designated areas.

Select attractions will remain open during the event, including SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Transformers: The Ride-3D, Revenge of the Mummy—The Ride and The Simpsons Ride. Death Eaters will also return to roam The Wizarding World of Harry Potter beginning in the early evening.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood runs select nights from September 3 through November 1, 2026, with tickets on sale now.

With Art the Clown taking over the Terror Tram, Sinners and Stranger Things entering the haunted-house lineup, SLASH bringing some extra bite to KILLceañera and scares waiting around seemingly every corner, Halloween Horror Nights 2026 looks ready to make Universal Studios Hollywood a very dangerous place after dark.
