Trick or Treat: ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 2 Premieres October 30
Dexter Morgan is sharpening his knives just in time for Halloween.
Paramount+ has announced that “Dexter: Resurrection” Season 2 will premiere Friday, October 30, bringing Michael C. Hall’s iconic serial killer back for another bloody chapter. The announcement arrives alongside the season’s first official teaser and as the Dexter franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary.
The new season finds Dexter Morgan (Hall) caught between two killers — one with decades of notoriety and a lifetime of victims behind him, and another young killer terrorizing New York in ways the city has never seen. At the same time, Dexter faces a decidedly different kind of threat: a mid-life crisis.
Harrison (Jack Alcott) continues his own pursuit of justice, setting up another complicated chapter for father and son as they face what Paramount+ describes as their “darkest chapter yet.”
Season 2 welcomes Dan Stevens, Bokeem Woodbine, Nona Parker Johnson and Brian Cox as series regulars, while Gabriel Luna joins as a guest star. Krysten Ritter will also return following her Season 1 appearance as Mia LaPierre.
Returning alongside Hall and Alcott are Uma Thurman, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington and James Remar.
The first teaser offers a bloody taste of what’s ahead, putting Dexter through an eye exam as flashes of needles, knives and murder interrupt the test. Twenty years after audiences first met Dexter Morgan, he appears ready to prove that he’s still living by The Code.
“Dexter: Resurrection” Season 2 premieres Friday, October 30, exclusively on Paramount+ with the Premium Plan.
