ViX has released the official trailer for Timbiriche, its new original series inspired by the true story behind one of Latin America’s most influential youth music phenomena. The series will premiere internationally October 9, with new episodes arriving every Friday exclusively on ViX.

The new trailer takes audiences back to the 1980s, tracing the beginnings of the young performers who would become Timbiriche and eventually help reshape Spanish-language pop. Before the sold-out venues, magazine covers and millions of fans, they were a group of young people navigating rehearsals, auditions and the dream of making it in music.

Inspired by true events, Timbiriche explores the group’s rapid rise to fame and what was happening away from the stage as their lives changed almost overnight. As their success grows, friendships deepen, rivalries emerge and new members alter the group’s dynamic, while the demands of the music industry begin testing their relationships and ambitions.

The series also looks beyond the spectacle of fame to explore the personal cost of growing up in the spotlight. Against a recreation of the 1980s, the story follows the decisions, sacrifices and relationships that shaped the young performers as Timbiriche became part of the cultural memory of generations of Latin American fans.

The ensemble cast includes Macarena García, Sebastián Poza, Luis de la Rosa, Jesusa Ochoa, Iker Solano, Michelle Pellicer, Edu Maruri, Claro Dalmao, Sol Weiner and Andrea Chaparro, alongside Osvaldo Benavides and Alberto Guerra.

Timbiriche is produced by EL ESTUDIO, with Pablo Cruz and Enrique Lavigne serving as producers and Beto Hinojosa directing.

More than four decades after Timbiriche first emerged, the ViX original revisits the beginnings of the Latin pop phenomenon while introducing its story to a new generation.

Timbiriche premieres October 9 exclusively on ViX, with new episodes available every Friday.
