One of Latin America’s most iconic pop groups is getting the scripted series treatment. ViX has unveiled the first look at Timbiriche, its new original series inspired by the true story behind the musical phenomenon that helped define a generation.

The newly released images offer the first glimpse at the cast transformed into the young artists at the center of the story, transporting audiences back to the 1980s and the beginnings of a group that would leave a lasting mark on Spanish-language pop culture.

Long before becoming household names, they were young performers with dreams of making it in music. Timbiriche will follow that journey as the group experiences a rapid rise to fame and navigates the friendships, aspirations, personal struggles and pressures that come with growing up in the spotlight.

The ensemble cast includes Macarena García, Sebastián Poza, Luis de la Rosa, Jesusa Ochoa, Iker Solano, Michelle Pellicer, Edu Maruri, Claro Dalmao, Sol Weiner and Andrea Chaparro, alongside Osvaldo Benavides and Alberto Guerra.

ViX previously revealed that the series will explore the origins, evolution and rise of Timbiriche, including how what began as a children's music project grew into a cultural phenomenon. The series is produced by El Estudio.

Formed in Mexico in the early 1980s, Timbiriche became one of the most recognizable names in Latin pop, with its music and members becoming part of the childhood and adolescence of generations of fans. The new series aims to revisit that era while introducing the story behind the phenomenon to a new generation.

With its mix of music, nostalgia and a behind-the-scenes look at the challenges of young fame, Timbiriche brings one of Latin pop's most enduring stories back into the spotlight.
